We have preconfigured cloud profiles for supported public cloud providers.

You can configure custom private cloud profiles which allows your organisation to specify private clouds using OpenStack. (coming soon)

Cloud Accounts

Cloud accounts refer to accounts within a particular Public or Private Cloud Provider. For instance a subaccount on AWS or a team on DigitalOcean. These accounts are utilized for setting up infrastructure to facilitate the deployment of your Kubernetes environment(s).

You can disable a cloud account, so that it is not available to create new clusters. Existing clusters will still use this cloud account.

It is also possible to delete a cloud account if the cloud account does not have primary cloud credentials anymore and the cloud account has not been used by an active cluster within the last 24 hours.

Only cloud accounts that have primary cloud credentials and are enabled can be used to provision new clusters.

Cloud Credentials

Cloud credentials are used to integrate your chosen cloud provider into AME. You can add multiple cloud credentials to your cloud accounts.

Newly created cloud credentials within a cloud account are automatically set as primary. Primary credentials are used when a new cluster is created within the cloud account. You can always manually change the primary cloud credentials of a cloud account, which then allows you to update existing clusters within that cloud account to use the new primary cloud credentials.
