How to use Environments within the Avisi Cloud Console

Environments help you organize your AME Kubernetes clusters within logical entities. Environments provide an easy way to manage access and cluster connectivity.

Environments also help indicate towards Avisi Cloud support what the clusters within it are being used for.

Viewing Environments

You can get an overview of all environments within your organisation by pressing “Environments” in the sidebar of the Console.

For each environment in your organisation, the Console will display the total count of clusters within it, as well as the amount of resources allocated for the clusters.

Viewing an Environment

When viewing an environment, you get an overview of the clusters within it. This shows you the Service Level Agreement and cluster version for each cluster.

Creating an Environment

You can create an unlimited amount of environments within an organisation. When creating one, you have to provide the following information:

  • Name: A short descriptive name of the environment. This is a display name.
  • Description: A brief description that details the purpose of the environment. This can aid your own engineers, as well as Avisi Cloud Support, should you require assistance within a cluster.
  • Type: What kind of environment (e.g. production, staging, development, demo or other).
