Multi-Factor Authentication Becomes Required for All Users
Starting June 1, 2026, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for all Avisi Cloud users.
This applies to both new users and existing users. If you already use MFA, no action is required. If you do not use MFA yet, you will be required to enroll it at your next sign-in.
Why We Are Making This Change
Usernames and passwords are only one layer of account protection. On their own, they leave accounts more exposed when passwords are reused, shared, guessed, or obtained through phishing.
Requiring multi-factor authentication adds an additional verification step before access is granted. This creates a stronger and more consistent security baseline for all Avisi Cloud accounts, reducing the likelihood that a compromised password alone can be used to access an account.
What This Means for You
- Existing users without MFA will be required to set it up at their next sign-in from June 1, 2026.
- New users are required to use MFA.
- Hardware security keys are not required. A YubiKey or similar device is not needed to complete enrollment.
- Personal access token (PAT) usage remains unchanged. Existing PAT-based workflows continue to function as they do today. See our personal access token documentation for more information.
