Announcing Support for Kubernetes v1.32
We are excited to announce that Avisi Cloud now supports Kubernetes v1.32, codenamed "Penelope." This version is now available for new and existing clusters within your Console. We recommend all our customers to try out the new Kubernetes release. Please see our documentation on how to upgrade your cluster.
Key New Features
- Volume Group Snapshots Move to Beta (Beta): This feature allows users to take crash-consistent snapshots of a group of volumes simultaneously, streamlining backup and restore processes for stateful applications. By using label selectors, multiple PersistentVolumeClaims can be grouped for snapshotting, enhancing data management capabilities.
- Enhanced API Server Efficiency with API Streaming (Beta): The API server now supports streaming, reducing memory consumption and improving performance during large data transfers. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for clusters handling substantial workloads, ensuring more efficient resource utilization.
- New CPU Manager Static Policy Option for Strict CPU Reservation (Alpha): A new policy has been introduced to provide stricter CPU reservations for workloads requiring dedicated CPU resources. This feature ensures that critical applications receive the necessary CPU allocation, enhancing performance consistency.
