We’re excited to announce the release of Avisi Cloud Kubernetes v1.30, “Uwubernetes”. This version is now available for new and existing clusters within your Console. We recommend all our customers to try out the new Kubernetes releases. Please see our documentation on how to upgrade your cluster.

Here are some of the highlights and important upgrade notes.

Key New Features

  1. Robust VolumeManager Reconstruction (Stable): Enhanced volume management after kubelet restarts ensures more reliable volume cleanup.
  2. Prevent Unauthorized Volume Mode Conversion (Stable): The control plane now prevents unauthorized changes to volume modes during volume restores.
  3. Pod Scheduling Readiness (Stable): Avoids scheduling pods when resources aren’t available, saving time and reducing costs.
  4. Min Domains in PodTopologySpread (Stable): Allows specifying a minimum number of domains for better pod distribution.
  5. Contextual Logging (Beta): Improves log analysis with customizable contextual details.

Important Upgrade Notes

  • Prevent Unauthorized Volume Mode Conversion: This feature is enabled by default. Before upgrading, ensure permissions are correctly set to avoid disruptions in volume snapshot restores.
